Ian, I most certainly wasn't trying to 'put you right'. Ken Roy must be encouraged, and we vile Scots encourage through criticism. I know myself well enough to understand that I am a bit inclined towards the laconically acerbic (short and sarcastic) and often that won't do. So, more thoughtfully:

We have a (potentially serious) problem in that there is no intelligent critical commentary on the SNP government. Ken Roy is as good as it gets, but he needs to keep to the facts and buckle a harness on his emotions. Something in the way things are going makes him unhappy and I'd like him to get a handle on it using some vocabulary other than the Daily Mail's. Can we chasten, but encourage? It might matter.

Goy, I wholeheartedly agree with you. Moreover, I sincerely agreed with your last post on Ian's 'review' blog; "Goy Says: September 14th, 2011 at 11:04;
Scottish Enlightenment, Adam Smith and David Hume Statues on the High Street is this not symbolic of the modern day Public contempt of the blind and noisy multitude. The last thing Scotland needs is a neo Public Elite and ultra-liberal enlightenment."

Far too much of the 'empire ideology has been 'crafted' into our recent tScots thinking, and we need to ascertain our traditional heritage to rebuild; we do that by activating what we know. All of us.

I now go to support 'clydebuilt'. As a political activist, the most crucial thing to ensure is not to become part of the problem; most 'organised' political activist organisations are actually government run, funded, and managed; think of the most prominent activist groups, and you are certain to find they are either Labour, Tory, or Marxist run, funded, and managed. A lot of what you see in the 'riots' are 'stage-managed', and government 'security' people are the ones instigating the violence. It really is an eye-opener if you dig deep enough.

However, most modern governments value good honest political activists now; the 21st century political activist is not the stereotyped long-haired hippie smoking weed and saying 'peace-man', (although liking John Lennon and his songs is an absolute requisite), they are middle-aged well educated and strongly dedicated people working on their own, to rebuilding their society again so it facilitates the rebuilding of their communities and families. This is where the 21st century political activist is now, working with good governments, agaisnt bad governments.

The political landscape has dramatically shifted from sincere, honest, and honourable politicians, (if that mix actually existed), to slimey, sneeky, deceptive Marxist oligarchs enslaving the very people for capitalist means that actually voted them into office.

The SNP Scottish Government are a good government; Aristotle would describe them as a good constitution, while he would describe Westminster as a tyranny. The way ahead now is to utilise only the new, fresh, untainted blood of Scotland to bring us our hard fought won, and saved independence to Scotland again. Like New Year, 'Out with the old, and in with the new' to take us forward now.

Scotland has an overwhelming abundance of intellectual masterbaters where it is cripplingly deficient is in the most crucial part of nation building and that is the political engineers and grafters that are the real constructors of nations.

I fear an independent Scotland that is only liberated for a public elite.
