Why the SNP is failing Scotland.

By Ian Hamilton

Wee George Robertson was right. Give the SNP a toy and it will be the end of independence. All we’re left with is a party that’s forgotten its soul. Now its purpose is for playing politics. OK! Sure! We’ve shown that the Scots can rule themselves but whoever doubted it? Meantime we’ve forgotten one thing. The SNP is a revolutionary party or it’s nothing.

Look at us. We’re the government in a toy parliament in a toy province. And what’s our aim? Our aim is a referendum. Campaign for a referendum! Aye right! That’s why I didn’t go to Glasgow North East to address an envelope. We could have won there but not on the campaign we fought.

We could have brandished a policy every voter wants and we flunked it. Independence should have been our cry. Then we will cap every income over £150,000 a year. No income should be greater than ten times the lowest one. People would have listened. Labour would have had to defend the rich. They would have said the bankers and economists would leave us.

Good riddance! They made this mess. Now we have so many rich they live in gated communities guarded by ex SAS. This is society near implosion. The SAS won’t shoot down the poor. They’ll take out the rich first. The only safety for us all is fair shares for us all. Don’t tell me we can’t have that. They have it in Sweden. And all we do at the polls is whine for a referendum. Aye Right!

Even the talk among the SNP is of a people who have lost their way. They look back instead of forward. When I say the Union was a help to Scotland I’m howled down. When I say the right side won at Culloden I’m treated as a traitor. The Stewart dynasty introduced London rule and the Killing Times so we ask them back! Eh? When I say Clan Campbell was a buffer state between civilisation and the Western tribes I’m being provocative. Of course I’m being provocative. History is my hobby. But politicians should have other things on their mind. The SNP is a political party. The sentences in this paragraph are enough to pack a whole fish box with red herrings. Yet wherever two or three SNP members meet it passes as political conversation. Grow up!

Political conversation is about the present and the future. The Union is finished but England still holds on. They spend billions on submarines at home and base them at Faslane and Rosyth. England needs Scotland for its old dream of being a world power. When we go England will be lost. They’ll have to renegotiate their entry into the EU. With no Scottish fishing to sacrifice, no oil, no coal no other energy, England might not get in. Its seat on the UN Security Council will certainly go. All this is inevitable. No union is forever. History is on the side of the break up of obsolete unions. That’s as far back as we need to look.

So the next person who asks to shake my hand because it touched the Stone of Destiny will get a kick in the crutch. The Stone of Destiny is bunkum. It’s in the past. I live in the present and look to the future which is independence. And will someone in the SNP set their research assistants to work? We need a new constitution. We need to know how we can help England who won the world cup in 1966. Remember?

Great discovery to read your blog Ian, keep telling it the way you see it . Refreshing to hear you are still radical after all these years. The SNP´s battle is not so much with the other discredited scottish politicians but with the media and how to connect with the disenfranchised scottish population. It has been a tremendous push by everyone in scotland to regain our parliament but as you say we have to look ahead. Norway, Sweden, Ireland, Finland and Denmark are the places to look to. And even further afield. The lack of an international dimension in scottish society would have Burns turning in his grave.

All the best and I´ll risk the injury if I ever meet you to thank you for your audacity in the 1950´s

Recently I’ve wondered if the SNP are becoming just too comfortable and settled within the ‘Scottish establishment’ role. The passion seems to have gone from the argument for independence.

What’s in the independence cupboard when we open it?

I want to read of ideas and I hope they’ll be contradictory so we have a choice.

You are spot on auld yin.

The SNP have become a sort of established and have walked in, eyes wide shut, to being on the defensive. They have handed the initiative to the opposition and have not woken up to that yet. I wonder why.

Tie to get radical, pit on the tackity bits and kick the political daylight out of the parvenus.

The disgraceful episode of the Wardog hounding this weekend is proof indeed what the Cloacas of the real incumbent party will do to save their wretched necks .

I am not a member of the SNP as I could never toe a party line, ever.

I dared to suggest that we need to ove the game on to what we want Scotland to be after independence.

Ian, you say, ‘What’s in the independence cupboard when we open it? I want to read of ideas and I hope they’ll be contradictory so we have a choice.”.

I hope this essay i wrote is contradictory enough for you.
    In the beginning 4:26

I recently wrote an email of contention to the Scottish government that it was unwise to write ‘old-style’ UK-driven legislative policy when Scotland is on the brink of a new constitution. My contentions are of 2 parts; to Lord Gill’s, Lord Cullen’s, and Lord McCluskey’s proposals to add another tier of judiciary and bureaucratic level to civil courts, bureaucracy, and to the police’s demand for more powers to retain non-criminal offences DNA. But those contentions have much more associated in all their parameters and existence; namely of immense importance of how we manage this transposition from a subjugated nation and peoples to an independent sovereign nation of self-design.

This essay, while being fundamentally premised on Lord Gill’s proposals and the Scottish polices’ demands for non-criminal offences of DNA retention, I will look at the wider and broader issues at hand that are now very important towards the best benefits and interests of Scotland as a nation, its peoples as a society, culture, ethics; for all Scots in an independent nation.

It is my intelligent thoughts that Scotland, however the way, will become an independent and sovereign nation again very soon. And on this premise, I believe the United Kingdom (UK), ‘union’ institutional structures abrogated into place over the union years of Scots common-laws ways and culture in Scotland ’s public services, have been applied with the intention of being deleterious towards the best benefits and interests of Scotland, Scots peoples, and Scots society. Therefore, this essay proposes that we, as Scots, and the true sovereign proponents of the nation of Scotland, have a duty to begin to think of the way we want our nation to be constituted. Of which, will settle our national society, culture and ethics for the future.

Scotland will be independent by 2015; that is my prediction. Upon this basis it is very prudent to begin to look at what kind of Scotland we want. Do we want to replay the over-oppressive UK constitutional format of being alienated from the political system; disenfranchised from the decision-making process, talked down to, lied to, conned, tricked, cheated, deceived and denied our own constitutional rights in our own nation, by our own elected elite? I don’t think that is what we want because that is why we are demanding Scotland become independent of Westminster; the Westminster that has plied all these evils on our country and peoples just so as to keep us in the union of kingdoms with England. Even the evil ‘establishment’ media outlets like the newsmedia and newspapers are oppressively draconian propaganda vehicles against SNP and Scottish independence. They don’t wan’t the people to think for themselves.

This has been the ‘Westminster way’ of controlling and subjugating Scots peoples, Scots lives, and Scots society. Ever since the union of crowns in 1603, Scotland’s cultural beliefs, ethics, and interests have been attacked by the Westminster advice given to the series of so-called Scottish monarchs. From James 1 through to Charles II, Scotland has been manipulated by Westminster advisers, and always to the detriment of Scotland and its peoples. Westminster laws implemented to force Scottish lords and landed gentry to ‘play-ball’ or they would lose their wealth, by one mode of Westminster law, or another by means of de-selection of crown estate. Our Scottish lords and landed gentry were brow-beaten to inflict grueling tenures of harsh existences on their own Scottish parish peoples; their citizens and town-locals in Scotland; the small people called the masses. But now it’s become a way of policy for these so-called Scottish lords; it’s second nature to these ‘elites’ now to oppress us. They don’t even know what they’re doing anymore; they think it’s right.
These small people we call the masses today now have the right to choose who they want to represent them at our Scottish parliament; and we must now look to the future. We cannot continue to vote for political candidates that have UK, Westminster union premise for their existence. Political parties like the New Labour, the Conservative, and the Liberal Democrat political parties all have union premise for their existence.

We must not vote for these political parties via their representative candidates if we want an independent Scotland. And, as I have intimated, an independent Scotland will occur by 2015, so we must look forward. We must cast off all those who would continue to force us to be dominated, subjugated, oppressed, and denigrated by Westminster. We have suffered the union of kingdoms with England too long now. In-deed, in the name of union, both Scotland and England have suffered at the hands of Westminster for the continuance of the union of kingdoms too long now. And change is what we need for our lives, families, children and nation’s to be prosperous again.

In 2008, our good Scottish government worked very hard to get a proposed budget bill to the Scottish parliament, a good and intelligent budget bill that needed to be passed by the parliament so that much needed spending could be attributed towards Scotland’s needs. Maliciously, 60 New Labour MSP’s showed their complete contempt for the peoples of Scotland by abstaining from voting. Their stupid abstentions meant the bill couldn’t be passed. This invariably meant that these Westminster drone-rogues were holding up spending ability in Scotland for our councils, public services, and economic structures and infrastructures. These 60 Scottish elected Members of the Scottish Parliament, (MSP’s), doing the evil work of Westminster by forcing more malicious oppressive connotations of subservience on the Scots peoples. And these MSP’s were actually elected into their prestigious offices by their Scottish constituents. This is tantamount to stealing from your own impoverished family; they stole their own constituents rights of representation.

Furthermore, in 2009, 73 New Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrat MSP’s had no thoughts of representing their Scottish constituents when they voted against the Scottish government’s decision of compassionate release to a terminally ill prisoner; they defied the will of the Scottish elected government. A person convicted by the delineated guidance of Westminster through Lords Sutherland, Coulsfield, and McLean, rather than a jury trial. They applied further malicious denigration of their own Scots peoples and electorate by voting for the will of their Westminster political parties of New Labour, Conservative, and Liberal Democrat. In every town in Scotland, the poll ratings of Scots peoples showed that an average of 75% of Scots towns-peoples agreed with the release by the Scottish government. But these lonely unionist 73 MSP’s in the Scottish parliament showed no sense or duty of representation of this Scottish national feeling at all, these 73 traitors of Scotland voted against the will of their Scottish constituents, the Scottish government, and the Scottish people.

These 73 members of the Scottish parliament showed nothing but hatred and degradation for the people of Scotland. Unforgivably, these 73 MSP’s showed their self-hatred for their own nation and peoples, the same peoples that voted them into their highly salaried and benefitted jobs. And all they did was show the malice and contempt the ‘Westminster way’ has always treated the peoples of Scotland with. But this was our own Scottish elected Scottish representatives culling the worth and want of Scots, the sense of being Scots, Scots culture, ethics and well-being. They wanted us to be subservient to Westminster; why?

I’ve come to the conclusion these self-hating Scottish imbeciles, the 73 New Labour, Conservative, and Liberal Democrat MSP traitors, have been brain-washed to think they are worthless too; too small, too feeble, and too stupid to govern their-self’s. They have been brain-washed into believing they must be reliant on Westminster for magnanimous scraps. This is the ‘Westminster way’, to force attitudes of brain-dead moronic ideals of worthlessness onto those that have elite power in Scotland, that way Scotland can easily be controlled by those in Westminster. The Westminster players have purposely been conjuring deals, magic-ing alliances, and forcing these stupid, greedy, self-hating, worthless Scots-elites to denigrate, deny, and feed ideals of stupid worthless reliance on their Scottish constituents; the peoples and nation of Scotland. In-deed, even as I write this, Lord Hamilton is pushing Scottish lords to get in the game and begin to demand changes of our good Scottish government. Seems to me it’s another Westminster method of using their tried and trusted ‘friends’ to muddy the waters, and, pushing more pressure on our Scottish government while plying the masses with pretensions more. Well, as a well read patriotic Scot, I know very well that when the Westminster way wants something deleterious done on Scotland, they just use the Scottish lords.

This is the ridiculous, pathetic, cowardly and stupid dichotomy that has existed for over well over 300 years now; even from before the union of parliaments in 1707. Our own Scottish elite, Scottish law-lords, judges, and those politicians that we vote into public office, malign Scots interests and benefits by adhering to the ‘Westminster way’. And we must stop this façade now. We must not allow these ‘elite drone-rogues’ to drag us down, to denigrate us, to force ideals of worthlessness upon us again. We have a once-in-a–thousand years chance to change this idiocy; we must put in place a Scottish constitution. We must not win our long and hard fought independence, only to let our Scottish elite sell us down to Westminster reliance again, only because they would be rewarded with promised prestigious roles and heralded with inglorious titles.

This subjugation of our own peoples has been happening for over 300 years in Scotland in every Scottish court, every Scottish police force, and every Scottish prosecutors office; all we need to do is look at the amount of Scots imprisoned for ridiculous offences. Scots citizens are being imprisoned for petty misdemeanors now; and it’s our Scottish judges that are doing this.

Over-eager and over-zealous Scottish judges imprison more of their own citizens than any other European nation now. Scottish judges put more Scottish citizens on the sex offenders register than any other nation in the world now. Scotland, now, has more sex offenders registered than any other country in the world now. Scotland has nearly 4000 Scots men on the sex offenders register; that’s 1 in every 450 Scotsmen in Scotland is now branded a sex offender. So why is the amount of sex offenders in Scotland so high?

The answer is because Scotland has been going for independence, and the ‘Westminster way’ is to control subordination by force of imprisonment, shame of immoral slandering, and castigation of depravity; i.e. a sex offender. Judges in Scotland have been putting Scots on the sex offenders register for stupid things. A man in Aberdeen was put on the sex offenders register for taking a mobile/cell phone picture of a woman’s ankles as she walked past him in the street. A man in Glasgow was put on the sex offenders register for urinating in a town street at night. Another man walked naked down Princess Street in Edinburgh, and he was put on the sex offenders register. In the past, the Aberdeen man would not have even been arrested. The Glasgow man is somewhat a unique quandary when we realise women and dogs can urinate in the middle of the day in the high street and not face sexual charges. The Edinburgh man’s offence would have just been indecent exposure with no requirement to be put on the sex offenders register. They would not have been put on a sex offenders register that collates them with sexually determined convicted criminals like paedophiles and rapists. This was always the ways and customs in Scotland. A traditional and common-sense utilisation of our Scots Law. But now, these judgements by Scots judges are over-harsh and very condemning because Scots dare to choose independence from Westminster, the Westminster that demands allegiance from its crown elitist judges; and this is how and why Scotland has so many sex offenders registered. It’s not because Scotland really has all these sex offenders, rather, it’s a method, (the Westminster way), the Scottish elite’s, judges, and law-lords, use to quell unrest of the masses for independence. We are shamed into submission by our own Scottish lords. It’s a method that’s worked for more than 300 years, so they keep unfairly bashing the masses with these criminally depraved shames of unworthiness to keep Scots people down, morose, and constrained by their own forced feelings of un-worth.

Scottish law-lords, judges, and those in elite positions in Scotland have strayed way off track in attempting to accommodate the ‘Westminster way’. Their harsh bullying methods are extreme and unfair. Their un-Christian ‘Westminster way’ malaise of amoral shaming of Scots with crimes that are not crimes, offences that are not offences, shows how far ‘accustomed’ these judges have become in their indifferent attitudes towards their own Scots peoples and nation; of Scotland’s welfare, customs and culture.

For the future, Scots certainly don’t need these elite’s in high positions of power in Scotland directing Scots Laws to extremes that disenfranchise Scots society. Scots don’t need these judgements that criminalise Scots peoples and its nation in such extreme, unfair and shameful ways. And we certainly don’t want these elite’s forcing the directions of Scots society back to the 17thth century ideals where all Scots citizens were treated like a worthless rabble of commodity, utilised for these so-called elite’s benefits and interests. Our elite’s must now work for us, not against us.

In-deed, it can be said that the true worth of a Scot is his/her patriotic passion; Scots’ as a race, haven’t changed much since our glorious victory under Bruce in 1314. Our pride and thinkings are purely Scottish; these masses that fought and gave their lives in the battles of Stirling Bridge and Bannockburn, (and many other battles), are the direct ancestors of the Scots masses being criminalised in this unfair Westminster way by our own elite’s now. These so-called Scottish lords. And the real shame of this is these masses would still congregate and amass a Scots army to fight for their country; to fight for these elite’s that are unfairly criminalisng them in shameful ways now.

No, now is the time to look to cast off these old UK-driven and Westminster derived ideals of control. We are the sovereign Scottish people, and we have the rights to make our own Scottish constitution for the benefits and interests of all Scottish people and their lives. We need to look to the future, with new ideals and elite’s filling the positions of responsibilities.

These future elite’s must have the Scots peoples, Scots nation, customs and culture at their heart of interests; not a self-serving conception of being better than, and over the masses they proclaim to govern. And a good example of the urgency for awareness to the danger of old-style UK-driven legislation is shown in the recent demands and proposals by the old-style, and out-of-date Lords’ McGill, Cullen, McCluskey of to further introduce even more tiers of civil courts, judicial bureaucracy, and subservience on Scots peoples; and of-course the unforgivable defamation on Scots Law by the tim’rous wee beasties of Sutherland, Coulsfield, and McLean.

The Scottish government is looking at policy to accommodate UK statute laws and their peripheral accrued UK-like institutional structures, of which are more-of-the-same oppressive and over-costly, and exists particularly to denigrate Scots. This is not very prudent towards the thinking and well-being of a new independent nation of Scotland and its peoples. We want to move away from denigrative and degenerative old-style UK policy-making methods and mind-sets that create these types of legislation
Scots peoples must have the right to determine our own constitutional structures of constitutional representation in legislation, administration, and the judiciary. It’s now time to pull up the reigns and hold further proposals of legislation and new laws. We must start to look at Scotland’s future with new and futuristic ethical standards. Not old-style UK-driven, old elite-partisan ‘Westminster way’ ideals and mind-sets.

A good example is of the old-style attack-dog policymaking is Paul McBride. Paul is an up-and-coming advocate, whose mind is astute, and I’m sure he can rise to high positions of elitism. But recently his loyalty to the Westminster way only pushes us back to the past oppressive ideals. We need to begin to fill our elite positions with new progressive thinking; young blood that recognises the way ahead is not back to the past. Scotland needs to start anew, more of the same will not bring Scotland independence; for the mind for independence is a name by association only. But an independent mind is the engine of prosperity.

This Scottish government has my support; especially in its endeavor for giving sovereign autonomy back to its people again. However, the want to rush forward and institute union-like policies, bureaucracy, and socially constraining laws on the populace of Scotland is policymaking not of fortitude and hope, but rather of supplementing the Scots elitist hierarchy, elitist accommodation that is plainly more top-jobs for the top-boys and girls. Done by adding another oppressive and confounding tier of subjugation of Scots people and Scots society and Scottish courts.

It is my belief we need to tear up the UK-driven Westminster way template of thinking and problem-solving. I would even go as far as saying we need to break up and disband all the UK structures that have been put in place, that have abrogated Scots customs and ways. The Law Society for Scotland is just one of those UK idealist driven institutions I would break up and re-establish without nepotism, without union premise, and without the Westminster mind-bending, love of money, bought and sold, perfunctory ideals, but with a real Scottish ideal of a 21st century social cohesiveness. Disband these old-style Westminster way union organisations that do nothing but strip Scots of their rights, dignity, and freedoms. Disband these old-style Westminster organisations that oppres, supress, and subjugate us. Disband these old-style Westminster organisations and begin a new Scottish society for law advocates with Scots ideals and new infusions for the benefits and interests of all Scots at the forefront of modernisation in the 21st century. We can modernise Scottish public institutions and public organisations for all Scots benefits and interests without upheaval by beginning with a fresh new mind-set towards top-down policy-making. Fresh new progressive Scottish thinkers required!

Modernise and begin anew with family courts that don’t allow unscrupulous lawyers, solicitors, courts and judges to illegally take away the rights of fathers. That illegally take away the rights of children. That illegally take away the properties and households of distraught families to pay for a domestic dispute they never wanted, but was forced to have by a repressive and greedy illegal ‘legal’ regime we have just now. Modernise all Scotland’s public institutions to where the Westminster way is driven out; we don’t want Westminster ways anymore in our brave new 21st century Scotland.

We already know what happened in 1707, we, the people, were sold to Westminster by our so-called elite Scottish lords, our elite landed gentry, and our elite titled lairds for their own financial gains. This must never happen again. Our Scottish government has asked us, the Scottish people to look at changing our ways of thinking on binge drinking, domestic relationships, and the vagaries of newer ideologies of sexual equalities; they, our elite’s, too have to change. In-deed, we must look to install fresh new elite’s that don’t have the ‘Westminster way’ ideals of thinking. We must start anew; new 21st century idealists must stride forward to pick up the elite torch in Scotland. A brave new world exists for those who would choose independence. And the old repressive Scotland must retire into past histories of oppression.

The other ‘UK crown’ agencies in Scotland too must change; Scotland must remember we too have a crown of our own. The position of Lord Advocate I presume will no longer exist, Thank God. Angiolini’s private army crack hit-squads of prosecutors must not be tolerated. These are public offices, not a private army for someone to manipulate and criminalise the whole nation and its reputation with. Scottish police forces must change too. They have oppressed, repressed, and subjugated the peoples and nation of Scotland, all under the banner of the Westminster crown, to justify their over-harsh policies of zero-tolerance, lower-thresh-holds, and charge targets. All to force down Scots from independence. These policies must be abolished now. The Scottish police are a force that horribly demeans and abuses the human rights of Scots peoples, and foreign visitors to Scotland. I like many, many other Scots can vouch for that.

The Scottish police have been given so much power that they are now a force of martial law. This is not what a public service institution is for; it must stop, and now. Scotland and its peoples must demand the Scottish government begin to roll-back the totalitarian powers the Scottish police have. There’s no real need for our police to be oppressing us in this way. Crime is at its lowest level in 30 years; we have more police than ever before, and our population are to all intents and purposes, facile. It’s the ‘trainspotting effect’ that promulgates the drastic ingratiate violence between each other in Scots society. No orders, no, money, no future, all make Jock a dull boy. The trainspotting effect is where we, the citizens of our own country, are abused by our own elite’s, and we just watch, and do nothing. This has led to the breakdown of our society, and our elite’s don’t care. The mass unemployment, the mass poverty, the mass drugs problems that are the only escape from these dire and hopeless lives of our adults are being graduated to by our children. The police only adhere to the ‘Westminster way’ because they are given extreme powers and under oath told to enforce extreme Westminster laws; what else do we expect! But the long-term affects are these criminals that we’ve criminalised know of no other way to live now; the danger of continuing the Westminster way is the mass criminalisation of our children as well. The trainspotting effect must be ended, now. We cannot continue using old-style UK-driven methods. We must modernise our police with new and socially acceptable thinking in base-element laws, laws that worked very well before the ‘extremism’ of New Labour.

The Scottish police have asked for non-criminal offences DNA to be retained, which, if given by the Scottish government, is more power to these megalomaniacs that take away from our liberal, individual, and human rights. I understand the need for the Scottish police to have DNA retention ability, and I agree with their feasible need of it. However, it has become more than obvious the police force in Scotland are already ‘out of control’ with lower-than-low arrest and charge thresh-holds, zero-tolerance, police charge targets, and their careless bullying of the populace. We should not be giving over-eager, and over zealous police, (with charge targets), more powers to crimininalise the people of Scotland further. We need to retrieve those powers of zero-tolerance, low thresh-holds and charge targets; roll-back the police powers to the base-element policing.

We need to take those powers away from the police, why? Well, let’s join the dots and see; a totalitarian Westminster crown, Scotland wants independence, the over criminalisation of Scots society, the most citizens imprisoned in Europe, the most sex offenders registered in the world, and the most denigrative and degenerative laws and judges and courts that immoralise us with the sex offenders register, the institution of a new Scottish underclass.

It is my contention that all of these aforementioned police powers must be taken away from them. Scotland needs to roll-back the totalitarian methods the UK crown has forced on us. This is not a good way for a Scottish public police service, a Scottish public court service, and Scottish government to treat its peoples and nation. These are policies of repression, oppression, and subjugation; policies Westminster know their loyalist elite’s will force on their fellow peoples and nation. Of which, they are rewarded with glamorous positions, heralded titles, ribbons of silk, (that are of no credence now that HM has abrogated all authoritative tenure to the European Union in Jan’ 2009), and the Westminster sense of ‘worthiness’ as a lord.

Scotland cannot allow these Westminster ideals and ways of thinking to be transported into our new Scottish constitution. The whole reason the people of Scotland want to dissolve the union with England is because it, (the union), doesn’t work for Scotland. You can’t change the peoples thinking by elite bashing; subjugating the masses by criminalising them hasn’t worked in the past for the Scottish judges and law-lords, and it won’t in the future.

For change, we need to start anew, take away the prescriptions of reliance of unworthiness, and foster a society of fairness and hope; bring society back to the people, and the people will come back to society. A famous quote by an eminent psychologist and psychoanalyst was intimated when he was asked the question of, ‘what’s the difference between psychology and psychoanalysis’? The man answered, ‘the former takes the person’s ills out of society, and the latter takes society’s ills out of the person’. Freud 1905. Further police powers only force severe constraining ligatures and human ordinances on our lives, we are soon to be bound, gagged, and sanitized for our own good! More Westminster bureaucratic constraints, more courts, and elitist bashing of citizens is not the way forward. These policies only disenfranchise people from society. We want to franchise people back into society, that’s the whole point of democracy.

The people of Scotland have been oppressed too long now, the change we want is for our own benefit, not for that of the Scots elite, the de rigueur omnipotence of Scottish police with their careless and indifferent attitudes towards their fellow Scots, nor the subjugation of the masses by our own elites and politicians. Scottish people want independence from the oppressive union, we don’t want to get independence and be further oppressed by severe constraining laws and courts that are being hastily advanced for the benefit of already known oppressive state institutions like the Scottish police force and over-harsh Scottish court judgments.

The simple function of even listening to the ‘lords’ demands gives more constraining powers to Westminster. The over-authoritarian police force in Scotland is not conducive to ‘bringing society back to the people, either our elite must change, or, we must change our elite. If we allow these cretins to continue in their blind obedience to the Westminster way, it will be more of the same policymaking that subjugates Scots in their own courts, by their own elites, and, it will not encourage the Scottish police force to change its thinking to become a public institution and service again.

These un-mandated and ingratiate ideals to pass policy of supplementing Scots elites, and to give the Scottish police more martial law powers is wrong, it is also more than misadventure. We won’t allow it to happen again. We want to start anew, new templates of 21st century ethics and ideals.

Scotland must start anew; the Scots peoples must realise it is their responsibility to tell our elected politicians what kind of Scotland we want. Not to be led by the old-style UK-driven ideals our elites have that oppresses Scotland. If our history of elites has to be mentioned, then the Scots elite’s evils on their own peoples that were the clearances of both the highlands, and the lowlands, shouldn’t be forgotten. Scotland and its peoples want and need to begin anew; to begin a new future where all our adults take responsibility for their families. Where all our children have opportunities to have integrative and happy lives. Where all our children get good education, and opportunities to progress their own family lives.

If we don’t grasp this once-in-a-thousand years chance; if we allow our futures, our children’s futures to be controlled, oppressed, and subjugated by old-style UK-driven elite ideals, then we condemn our children, and their children’s children to the harsh bare impoverished existence we’ve experienced and suffered. If we continue to allow our Scots elite’s to carry on misusing our sovereign powers, especially when we now know the deleterious effects, then we will condemn all our children and their futures to another 1000 years of control, oppression, and subjugation.

This SNP government has excelled in their roles as Scottish government. They have set a precedent of excellence, and anyone wishing to become government in Scotland in the future must realise excellence in office is now the benchmark. They have shown with a very small administration their product is more than the vast over-bearing Westminster government. The Scottish cabinet out-performing the Westminster cabinet says it all. Alex’ Salmond, Nicola Sturgeon, Kenny MacAskill, John Sweeney, and all the others I would like to, (and will in future), mention, have all shown themselves to be excellent politicians, excellent government officers, and excellent leaders of their industries. Each one was given a specific government office to represent, and each one has excelled in office.

Our Scottish government has told us, the Scottish nation, that we must change our thinking on domestic violence, that we must change our mind-sets on our domestic relationships with our wives, our children, our families. Our government must also realise the Scottish people also now want change in our elite’s; our law-lords, our judges, and our politicians. They must change to suit the needs of Scotland and its peoples; not continue to oppress and subjugate its own peoples it is supposed to serve.

All these offices and roles our elite’s hold are public offices, public offices that are endeared and trusted with top-down powers that affect our lives. Our lives are traditionally Scots in ethics and culture, it’s hard to change thousands of years of traditional ways and customs in less than a generation. But if we all grasp the nettle and adhere to our government’s wishes of bottom-up change from citizens, and top-down change for our elite’s, then we will all meet in the middle.

This is called ‘limited government’. In the Jefferson ideal, limited government doesn’t have a policeman/woman in every domestic household ordering families how to live. Limited government is not a nanny state. Limited government rolls-back authoritarian government, policies, powers and laws.

To Scotland’s police; limited government gives us the right to be left alone from state bullying and interference. Limited government would never allow zero-tolerance, police charge targets, and low arrest/charge/conviction thresh-holds. To the Lords of Scotland, may I suggest we define our constitution and its sense of idealism before we begin implementing more institutional structures to our society.

In Westminster, UK has a government that maximises its input into all our lives. The Westminster government pokes its nose into all our private lives and business; we are not free, and this is not democratic; we are enslaved and subjugated by Westminster’s totalitarian government. Scotland’s elite’s must change their ideals from old-style UK-driven Westminster subjugative ideals, to new 21st century progressive Scottish ideals; or move aside.

Too dangerous and hot for you Ian?

Not as radical as you make out eh?

Or is your game just another Scottish government bashing mandate?

  16. Stuart Forbes Says:

If I ever meet you Ian, I’ll risk the injury, not just for the stone, but because of blogs like this one!

  17. Dougie Dubh Says:

At the risk of covering old ground to make a new point - the reason the Stone’s repatriation in 1950 is and will continue to be celebrated is that it reignited and awoke Scotland in a vital way that connects directly to where we find ourselves today.

The Independence Referendum is the next vital step towards regaining our national sovereignty, and it is patently the London parties who are all over the place on the issue - unable to agree or show faith in their own Calman carve-up - with Labour in particular exposing their familiar colours by shelving their own proposals on the hollow promise of an election they will never win.

If folk are wary of the SNP becoming ‘cosy’ in government, then they should get behind the campaign to empower themselves by supporting self-determination through all reasonable means.

Ironically, having come so far along the road towards our Destiny, Scots seem now to be slipping back into a state of torpor not dissimilar to that of the post-war years.

What our country needs now is a similar act of tenacious and seminal defiance to blow away the cobwebs and wake the sleeping Lion.

    Alba gu Brath!

England won the World Cup in 1966? Wow, they’ve kept that one quiet…

  19. Dark Lochnagar Says:

As the hounding of Wardog and now Montague Burton show, we are starting to get to the MSM and the Labour Party in particular. However you are right Ian, the SNP are getting too cosy. We’re drifting back to this Unionist crappy state we were in during the Thatcher years. The worst thing that happened was British banks with Scotland in their names going bust. It’s given the fearties that excuse to roll out the, “Aw we’re too wee to rule ourselves” shite. They forget these banks have been paying taxes to the British Exchequer since 1707.
